I'm a Fish
I'm a Fish Visual Development and Pitch Bible Production
'I'm a Fish' is a 52 episode two minute animated series for four to eight year olds that follows sea creatures in their underwater world. The series is currently in production at Monster Entertainment as of July 2017. For my part, I created the original concept art and designed the 'pitch' bible for the series back in 2013.
In similar fashion to the development process for ' I'm a Creepy Crawly', the producers provided me with a list of fish to design with the brief of producing designs that would follow the aesthetic of the previous versions (Animal, Dinosaur, Creepy Crawly) of the series that would work for Flash animation production.

The Shark (Top) and Angler Fish (Above) Production Art stills were designed by me as the key marketing and pitch materials for the series at the development phase.

Based on my rough sketches, I created these colour mock ups in Photoshop for approval by the series producers before refining the artwork and finishing the Production stills seen above.

In similar fashion to 'I'm a Creepy Crawly' I produced a series of Character Design Sketches showcasing various design concepts that where sent to the producers for sign off.

All the 'I'm a' series have included interstitial elements such as charts, diagrams, maps that are used to teach kids such educational facts about the creatures showcased in that particular episode. I'm a Fish was no different, so I designed these sample charts and maps to give an indication of the interstitial styles that could appear in the show for the Pitch Bible.

The final role I had on the 'I'm a Fish' development materials was to design the layout for the pitch bible pages themselves. Following the chart aesthetic, I created an aquatic themed layout inspired loosely on 'The life aquatic with steve zissou' by Wes Anderson.
